About This Site
Blank Space Copy and Paste is a free utility for copying blank spaces, invisible characters, and empty text — built to do one job quickly, without sign-ups or clutter.
What This Site Does
This site provides blank and invisible Unicode characters that you can copy with a single click and paste wherever you need them. It includes a generator for producing a specific number of characters, quick presets for common amounts, longer blank-text presets, a live test area for checking what you generated, and a reference table of blank, invisible, and whitespace Unicode characters.
Every character offered here is a real Unicode code point — not an image, a trick, or a substitute. The reference table lists each character alongside its Unicode code point, HTML entity, and hex entity, so you can see exactly what you are copying.
Why Blank and Invisible Characters Are Useful
Many apps, forms, and games reject an empty input but will accept a character that renders as nothing visible. People commonly use blank or invisible characters to create spacing in usernames and bios, separate lines in captions, leave a message field looking empty, or work around fields that refuse to be left blank.
Different characters behave differently. A regular space takes up visible width, a no-break space resists line wrapping, and a zero-width character occupies no visible width at all. Which one works best depends entirely on where you are pasting it.
How It Works
The character tool runs entirely in your browser. Choosing a character, generating blank text, typing in the test area, and copying to your clipboard all happen locally on your device, and the tool's own code does not send that text anywhere. There are no accounts to create. Separately, the website uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure visits and record how pages are used; Clarity masks anything typed into the test area. Our Approach
- Simplicity. The main tool is the first thing on the page. Copying a character should take one click, not a tutorial.
- No friction. No registration, no login, and no paywall for the core functionality.
- Accessibility. The site is built with semantic HTML, keyboard- accessible controls, visible focus indicators, and labels for screen readers — including for characters that are, by their nature, invisible.
- Accuracy. Character data is generated from Unicode code points rather than typed by hand, so the character you copy matches the code point shown.
Honest Limitations
Blank and invisible characters do not work identically everywhere. Some platforms strip whitespace-only input when saving, some reject certain code points during validation, and some render a character differently depending on the font or browser in use.
For that reason, we avoid claiming that any character works on every platform. If one character does not work where you need it, trying a different one from the reference table is usually the fastest fix. Our troubleshooting section covers the most common issues.
