Blank Space Copy and Paste

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This policy explains how Blank Space Copy and Paste handles information. In short: the character tool runs in your browser and does not ask for personal information, while the website separately uses Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to measure how the site is used.

Introduction

Blank Space Copy and Paste is a free utility for copying blank spaces, invisible characters, and empty text. This policy describes what happens to information when you use the site. It applies to this website only, and not to any third-party app or platform where you might paste a character.

Information We Collect

There are no user accounts, no login system, no registration, no newsletter signup, and no contact form, and the tool does not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal detail. The site does use two analytics services, described below, which collect usage data about your visit.

Analytics and Session Recording

Every page loads Google Analytics (from googletagmanager.com) and Microsoft Clarity (from clarity.ms). We use them to understand which pages are visited and how the tool is used.

  • Google Analytics records page views and related usage data, such as the pages you visit, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and an approximate location that Google derives from your IP address.
  • Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used, including clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement, and turns that into session recordings and heatmaps. Clarity masks content it classes as sensitive, such as numbers and email addresses, and always masks what is typed into input boxes and text areas.

Both services process your IP address and browser details to provide their service, under their own privacy terms: theGoogle Privacy Policyand theMicrosoft Privacy Statement.

Information We Do Not Collect

As currently implemented, this website does not:

  • Ask for your name, email address, or other contact details.
  • Require an account or a login.
  • Display advertising or load advertising networks.
  • Maintain its own database of visitors or user accounts.
  • Sell or rent personal information.

How Your Input Is Handled

Everything the tool does happens locally in your browser. When you generate blank characters, type or paste into the test area, or copy a character to your clipboard, that text is processed on your own device.

The tool's own code does not send what you generate, type, paste, or copy to any server, and we do not store it. Because the site also runs analytics, two details apply: Microsoft Clarity masks anything typed or pasted into the test area, so its recordings contain a masked placeholder rather than your characters, and this site does not configure Google Analytics to collect text from the test area.

Clipboard Access

Copy buttons use your browser's clipboard functionality to place the selected character onto your clipboard. The "Paste" control in the test area reads from your clipboard only at the moment you activate it, and only to place that text into the test field on your screen. Your browser controls clipboard permissions. The tool does not send clipboard content anywhere; Microsoft Clarity may record that a copy or paste action took place, but not what was copied or pasted.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The site's own code does not set cookies. The analytics services do, subject to your consent choice:

  • Google Analytics sets _ga and_ga_<ID>, which distinguish visitors and sessions.
  • Microsoft Clarity sets _clck and_clsk, which link page views into a visit and a session recording, and Microsoft may set cookies on its own domains, such as MUID.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key bscp-consent, so the site does not ask again. It holds only the value "granted" or "denied".

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are asked before analytics cookies are set. Until you accept, Google Analytics runs with analytics storage denied and Microsoft Clarity runs in its no-consent mode, so neither sets its analytics cookies; each service determines your region from your IP address. Even then, Google Analytics may send measurement data without cookies, and Clarity collects limited data without cookies.

To decide whether to show the cookie prompt, the site asks Cloudflare, which delivers the site, for the country of your connection. That answer is used in your browser and is not stored.

Visitors elsewhere are not shown the prompt, and analytics cookies are set by default. Anyone can accept or reject analytics cookies at any time with the button below. Rejecting tells both services to stop using cookies and removes the Google Analytics cookies from this site.

Third-Party Services

Pages on this site load scripts from Google and Microsoft for the analytics described above, and those scripts send data to Google and Microsoft servers. Fonts, stylesheets, and images are served from this site's own domain.

The website is published as static files and delivered through Cloudflare. As is standard for web hosting and content delivery, the provider may process technical request information — such as IP address, browser user agent, and requested URL — for the purposes of delivering, securing, and operating the site. That processing is carried out by the provider under its own terms, and we do not build profiles or separately collect this information for our own purposes.

Data Retention

We do not run our own database of visitor data. Analytics data is kept by Google and Microsoft for the retention periods those services apply to our analytics accounts. If you contact us directly, any message you send will be retained only as long as needed to respond to and resolve your enquiry.

Data Security

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. The site itself does not store visitor data; analytics data is held by Google and Microsoft. That said, no method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise.

Children's Privacy

This website is a general-purpose text utility and is not directed at children. It does not ask anyone, including children, for personal information, although the analytics services described above collect usage data from visits as set out in this policy.

External Links

Our content may mention or link to third-party platforms and services. We do not control those sites, and this policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.

Your Choices

You can change your analytics cookie choice at any time with the Cookie settings button above, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google'sGoogle Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site itself holds no personal data for you to access, correct, export, or erase. Questions or requests about analytics data can be sent to us using the contact details below.

Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when the site's functionality changes, and the last-updated date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
